about

Lock downs, not being able to go out and crawling into cocoons. Canada banned dancing which is ridiculous... I, and many people felt a lot of outrage with regards to arbitrary rules made by a small minority that affected everyones lives. Young people particularly developed a lot of anxiety with a lack of stability and uncertainty for the future.

lyrics

Do you take the time to see the world ripple around you
Sunlight in the trees is shining all around you
Wings that used to fly have fallen, now they ground you
Changing with the time, shifting through your gaze

Caterpillar, Caterpillar where did you go?
I missed you so much, you don't even know
Cocoon keep me safe hide until it's gone
But I'm still waiting when I know I should be gone

Caterpillar, Caterpillar, Climbing through the trees
Shake a leg, come on down, let's go dancing please
Never will we go out like we did before
But I'm still waiting, watching, wanting for some more
Youthful spirits everlasting, hope keeps us alive
Old unweildly, ancient ideals, keep our fingers tied
Means little to the few, and much to the many
